Alex,

Good suggestions.  And, since you offered suggestions, I assume you concur
I'm a little slow...in airspeed.  I'm about ready to take it through a
pretty thorough C.I. and I'll make a point of having it checked by someone
(not me!) with the expertise and ability to ascertain its correctness.  A
knot here and a knot there, first thing you know, it's real speed.

Chuck,
you might want to check the chord angle of the winglets to CL of the
fuselage- even a small difference in them will cause a significant drag
penalty, also the angle of the fuselage when the wing/canard are leveled
will also add drag if too high or to low....   the little details are a
couple of knots each....

Don't know what a 340 is, but I have a IO-540/300hp.  When not stoned or on
grass, I see about 180kts @65-70% power at something less than gross.  I see
some of the other numbers, 190kts, 200kts, from other people and guess they
must be flying downhill.  I'm not complaining but I'm not sure how they get
there.  My plane is a little heavy because of the 340, but that certainly
can't account for the difference.  Don't know??
