REFLECTOR: CHT temps

The pilot side CHT temps on my Franklin run about 20F higher than
the other side.
There is a 1" opening on the pilot side plenum to blow cooling air
on the alternator.
Could this be responsible for the difference in CHTs?  Is this
necessary for the
alternator?
