I hear ya' TEC. But you know, quite a few ILS approaches have step =
downs tied to a DME readout from a nearby VOR (and not the ILS). =
Sometimes I miss my old friend the DME ... especially when the Nav is =
dialed to the ILS frequency and the GPS is dialed to airport. I know =
... I can dial the GPS to the VOR and get DME info - but something in me =
would rather the GPS be pointing to where I'm going (the airport) and =
not some VOR location 15 miles away.
Just thinking out loud.
