  Alex,

I have a few good pix of the Firefly I took at Osh in 2002. I am clueless
on how to post them to TVBF.org site. I tried to send them to the list
before I remembered about the attachment limit. If you would like, I can
email them via attachments directly to you and whoever else wishes to see
them. They are kinda big, but should not be a problem for broadband. One
shot is of the yoke and panel, the other two are of the boom rudders.

  Chris

    Wayne,
Thanks for the picture, but the exact angle that it is taken from is
probably the only one that does NOT show any difference from a regular
velocity- do you have any others you can post?

      Hi Guys,
Find attached a picture of the Firefly taken at the factory. It's a
nice flying plane,
not quite as fast as an XL and quite a bit more complicated.
Everything is basically
per plans except for the wings and winglets. The wingspan is about
34', the wings
and spars are completely different. The inboard, boom mounted rudders
are coupled
and move left & right vs out only per plans. Power is the Lycomng
IO540 - 260HP,
it also has yokes instead of the center stick. Approach speed are
about the same but
low speed handling is a bit more docile. The pilot in this picture is
my wife who just
landed after a 45 minute flight. When I took this picture she had
under 5 hours of time
in her book and had little trouble with the Firefly, her only remarks
were about things
happening a little faster than with the Warrior...

      Regards to All,
      Wayne Lanza
