Well, not exactly.
I haven't had the time to fix the nose area, so finally I had a guy at the
airport do it for me and he did an excellent job. The nose repair is
complete, sans paint. I'm having a few mods done on the engine as well, such
as fuel pump relocation. It should be ready to fly in a day or two. Can't
wait.
Life gets busy with a two year old...and now we have our second due mid
February. Where will I find the time?
BTW, if you did not know, it turned out to be the blasted axel that hung the
gear up. The set screw did not do it's job. I've done two things to prevent
this in the future: drill for a pin through the axel and nose guides that go
well above the axel line (my guides stopped just short of the axel, not
anticipating the axel issue.).

As a aside, Kevin and Brooke, we didn't realize you had moved to Deer Valley

there. We've been out most weekends trying to fly off our 40 hours. We're
about 1/2 way done. We fly on most Saturdays in the AM and on Sundays
during the mid-day. Let us know when you are usually out there and
hopefully we can come by to see your beautiful Velocity.
