REFLECTOR:To Gas Strut or Not

They look the same.
The heat treated steel is more difficult to (permanently) bend.
Again - I'll try to find out the approximate date when Velocity began heat
treating the gear leg.  Most can go by that.
If not, the only sure way is to send the leg to local shop (or to us) and
have it heat treated.
Is there a metallurgist in the crowd that can offer a "home brew" means of
treating the leg?
