Scott,
You can use a spring cartridge, but you will need to find the proper
dimensions and force of the original gas spring.

Subject: REFLECTOR:To Gas Strut or Not
Since I will be replacing my nose gear and fork assembly very soon,
I'llorder as son as the factory opens up after the holidays, I was going
to replace the gas strut . I'll be messing around in their anyway, so
might as well.
Is there an option to the gas strut? Maybe a spring enhanced shock
absorber? Anybody done it?
Scott
