Some things to keep in mind, The chances of the FAA advising the ATC side of
these changes in a timely manner are almost Nil.
Also, If you ask for an approach, that's what you get (traffic & conditions
permitting), it is not ATC's job to make sure you have the correct equipment.
After all, it is your butt.
like usual, the only time you have to worry about these things is if you get
approached by the ramp nazzi's.
