Hi Jack,
If you decide to use Jeff Rose's ignition you will need to add an=20
Ignition breaker to
your prewired XL power panel, then move the wire on the panel marked=20
"Rt Mag" to
the adjacent terminal marked "Rt Ignit". The "Rt Mag" wire on the=20
firewall will then
source +12V to power the ignition instead of grounding the mag to shut=20=

it off. No
further changes or additional wiring is needed, the changes can be done=20=

in 15 min.
I designed the XL power panel to support either a two mag or=20
mag/ignition set up.
The schematic and power panel docs should reference the changes - if=20
not call me...
Installing the ignition is easy but there is one caveat, the timing=20
wheel for the 6 cyl
engine goes behind the flywheel, i.e. you gotta remove the prop. As I=20
understand it,
Jeff is no longer supplying the mag hole pickup for the Lycoming. The=20
timing wheel
installation and associated wiring is not difficult and remember that=20
you will need to
tap the manifold pressure line for the ignition.
