REFLECTOR: Cowling Camlocs?

Have you considered using a piano hinge system like the Lancairs? I
have no screws on the cowling where it meets the wings. It is a very
slick setup and not hard to do. The hinge parts on top, bottom and wing
root mesh and a stainless pin locks them all in place.

Who's using Camloc's or Skyloc's on the cowling? And if so, what
spacing did you use? They (Skybolt) suggest 3-4 inches but I already
drilled the Velocity suggested pattern. I reason that our cowls are not
nearly as pressured as a normal tractor plane so the ~6 inch spacing is
sufficient. Any thoughts?
