My understanding was that the 8 cylinder Jabiru engines that were to be =
available at the time Velocity were exploring this potential new model =
took a much longer time to become available - the rated power was also =
reduced from the expected 200HP per engine to 180HP....whether this =
affected consideration of their suitability I don't know.

Here are a couple of pictures of the model Velocity had displayed at =
their booth during Airventure 2002. I was just at the factory last week =
for their open house and I saw the upper and lower fuselage halves up on =
the top shelf in the back of the service center. When asked about it, =
Scott Swing said he just hasn't had the time to work on it for a while. =
Too busy with other stuff. I think it will be a 6 place.

It's a development project that Velocity has been kicking around for =
a couple of years. Some work on the prototype was done, but I don't =
think it's on the fast track. The idea was to use a couple of Jabaru =
engines.
