<P>I tried the canard landing lights in the canard. Allen Shaw did them with the canard. The look cool but dont do any good for light. Allen replaced the lights at no charge to me, but still ineffective as a light. The other thing was the lens. Could not keep it from burning from the heat of the light. It is also one heck-of-a drain on the electrical system, which is already strained if you are using the alternator from Velocity. I finally took my lights out of the canard and glassed over the hole. No regrets.</P>

<DIV></DIV>>I'm about to place the layups on the canard foam.
<DIV></DIV>>To the guys that have placed landing/taxi lights on the
<DIV></DIV>>canard...
<DIV></DIV>>How did you channel the wire out to the lights?
<DIV></DIV>>I was thinking of using soda straws for conduit...
<DIV></DIV>>What gauge wire?
<DIV></DIV>>Did you place the lights in the tips? or close to the body?
<DIV></DIV>>Those halogen lights get hot... any heat shielding?
<DIV></DIV>>Other than looking cool... Is it of any real benefit?
