<P>I tried the canard landing lights in the canard.&nbsp; Allen Shaw did them with the canard.&nbsp; The look cool but dont do any good for light. Allen replaced the lights at no charge to me, but still ineffective as a light.&nbsp; The other thing was the lens.&nbsp; Could not keep it from burning from the heat of the light.&nbsp; It is also one heck-of-a drain on the electrical system, which is already strained if you are using the alternator from Velocity.&nbsp; I finally took my lights out of the canard and glassed over the hole.&nbsp; No regrets.</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I'm about to place the&nbsp;&nbsp;layups on the canard foam.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;To the guys that have placed landing/taxi lights on the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;canard...
<DIV></DIV>&gt;How did you channel the wire out to the lights?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I was thinking of using soda straws for conduit...
<DIV></DIV>&gt;What gauge wire?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Did you place the lights in the tips? or close to the body?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Those halogen lights get hot... any heat shielding?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Other than looking cool... Is it of any real benefit?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
