I also installed my processor unit behind the screen on the pilot's =
side. I used 1/2" aluminum angle that run from one side of the fuselage =
to the other. I made attach brackets on fiberglass and bolted the angle =
to them. Not pictures, but I can take some and upload them to the =
gallery. The DVD mounts on the c/p side on the same aluminum angle. =20

Chuck,
I'm also looking for some "reports from the field" on the GRT EFIS. I =
have been checking their website pretty regularly the last few months, =
and they note that 5 of their systems are now flying, so it's still =
pretty early. They are shipping them as fast as they come off the line, =
so a lot more will be flying by Oshkosh time.
I have also been getting more and more interested in the GRT EFIS. =
The PFD is better than the Blue Mountain; broader, clearer speed, =
direction and altitude bands, more info, and, of course HITS. They have =
now also incorporated the ILS approach scales. You give something up on =
the moving map (and AI) not having terrain depiction; but how important =
is that, and that's where the big $ savings is. Maybe a GRT PFD and =
engine display, and an MX20 moving map w/traffic display. Now that =
would be nice.
Regarding the BMA unit - those of you using it; where are you putting =
the big processor unit?
Al
