Chuck,

=20

I'm also looking for some "reports from the field" on the GRT EFIS. I =
have
been checking their website pretty regularly the last few months, and =
they
note that 5 of their systems are now flying, so it's still pretty early.
They are shipping them as fast as they come off the line, so a lot more =
will
be flying by Oshkosh time.

=20

I have also been getting more and more interested in the GRT EFIS. The =
PFD
is better than the Blue Mountain; broader, clearer speed, direction and
altitude bands, more info, and, of course HITS. They have now also
incorporated the ILS approach scales. You give something up on the =
moving
map (and AI) not having terrain depiction; but how important is that, =
and
that's where the big $ savings is. Maybe a GRT PFD and engine display, =
and
an MX20 moving map w/traffic display. Now that would be nice.

=20

Regarding the BMA unit - those of you using it; where are you putting =
the
big processor unit?

=20

Al
