Yeah, the direction of turning...

I might have it wrong in memory.  It was last night and I might have
remembered it wrong.  What I know is that I was turning it in the
direction that will give me the wind (standing behind the plane).  The
blunt edge forward and knife edge trailing as someone described it.

I know I was turning it the right direction since I got a breeze as
blades swung in front of my face<g>.

I think the key here is the default failure mode of the P-lead wiring
being "hot".  I will go back and test it that way.

I think your turning your engine in the wrong direction?

Shouldn't that be counter clockwise when facing forward?

The blunt side of the prop(leading edge) should point towards the
correct 
rotation.  The knife edge side of the prop is the trailing edge.
