Are you sure you are turning your engine the correct direction?

My Lycoming turns counter clockwise when facing the engine from the =
rear.

You should be getting sparks as the impulse couplings release (click).

How could I check to make sure my Mag wirings are correct?

This is what I did. I pulled out the top lug from all the jugs. I =
turned the ignition switch to "BOTH" position. I laid all the plugs on =
the jugs making sure that the threaded part was in contact with the =
metal part of the jugs. I turned the prop by hand in the rotation =
(clockwise standing behind the plane). As I pass through TDC, I can =
hear two impulse coupling clinking in the Mags but I did not see any =
sparks fly in the plugs. I was expecting a healthy dose of "Zap" as the =
impulse coupling fires.

I went around with continuity checker and made sure there was good =
connection between the mag switch, mag, the engine casing, ground line =
and they all seems good.

  Any tips?

  Hiroo
