Just to add a little flavor...I have over 3000 hours on my Glasair 1 rg and
I'm on my second Lycoming IO-320 after replacing it the first time at 2700
hours...I guess that touches on two points the Jim made.
TBO for Lycoming engines and hours flown in homebuilts aircraft...
