Velocity has had several detailed conversations with Aero Composites =
regarding the making of a pusher, 3-blade, cs, carbon propeller for the =
Velocity. Talks also included Velocity participating in the start-up =
cost that Steve mentioned (to help speed development). After looking at =
things from a business point of view, Velocity elected not to join in on =
the development. We think that the Aero Composites makes a great =
propeller - and we look forward to having them come out with a pusher =
prop for the Velocity. For those who think Mt-props are expensive, the =
Aero Composites propeller will likely sell for several thousand dollars =
_more_ than the Mt. So while Aero Composites will bring competition, it =
will not bring price savings.
In the meanwhile, Mt has promised to look into ways of improving =
customer service, reducing the time it takes to service their products =
(in Germany and in Deland, Florida), and to improve the ruggedness of =
the propeller blades.

  Regarding aero composites for Velocity.
I talked to the rep from Aero Composites at the AOPA Show. They may =
be offering the prop soon but not yet. He said the main reason is the =
$90K it would cost to purchase all the forms and set up to make the =
props. So it may be a little early without a firm commitment. One way =
to accelerate process would be to let velocity know what the market =
would be. Aero composites will not make a prop that is affordable =
without a market. In the mean while the MT prop works fine.
