|   I use an autozone alternator ($29) that is the exact duplicate of the
standard lycoming alternator and puts out about 65 amps.   I bought a solid
state voltage regulator from aircraft spruce.   Both have worked great for
over 200 hrs.  I actually bought a second one a few month ago when they went
on sale for half price ($14.50)just to have a spare.
