REFLECTOR:State taxes on aircraft?

Dave, why would you consider moving to California? People and businesses
are moving out in droves because of taxes and politicians who think your
money is theirs. The party in power of all branches of the government has
an insatiable appetite and has spent us into oblivion.

For one, you will get hit by high property taxes for the craft, depending on
the county where you settle. Other Californians certainly more expert than
I (being at the beginning of the building process) could advise you more of
the actual tax costs, and I will let them.

Really, the climate right now is not good. We're either about to go through
a tax revolution-upheaval starting with the recall of our beloved governor,
or see the Golden State head straight down.

Give it a year and see what happens.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend any of you fine builders should you love being
taxed. I just couldn't resist responding...that's what they claim in
Sacramento about spending. :-)

Subject: REFLECTOR:State taxes on aircraft?

Group,

I'm considering moving to Arizona, California, Oregon, or Utah and wonder if
anyone living in those states could tell me what taxes or fees they may
impose
on aircraft.

Thanks,
Dave Black
