Because of the possibility of the crankcase breather hose freezing up,
reflectorites have suggested slitting the top side of the hose near the
crankcase outlet for pressure relief in such an event. This avoids
blowing out the crankcase seal with a blocked hose.=20

Has anyone considered/used a pop off valve in the hose instead of a
slit? Seems like this would give a more reliable, controlled escape. If
so,where would one get such a valve?
