The WSI AV-100 is a system that provides NowRad weather in the cockpit. The
100 is the non-certified version, the 200 will be a certified system, but
basically the same. As certification is not really an issue for experimental
aircraft, save about $1600 or so with the 100.

The system receives satellite broadcasts, so altitide is not an issue. Can
even be used before takeoff to confirm weather.

This requires a monthly subscription of about $50, but you can call on it any
time as much as you want with no added charges. Gives a view like the weather
channel plus METARS & TAF's, SIGMETS & AIRMETS. Colorcoded airports show
current conditions there (VFR/IFR).

Software is now being completed and will display on the UPSAT MX 20 and
likely some others soon.
