REFLECTOR: [Fwd: [c-a] PropDesign 1.0 Now Available]

FYI to all, a PROP design program.

Alan, I didn't forward your response dated 6/23/99 re:diameter
limitations and offer of NASA 70s/80s data to Joe or Ed. Did you? Sorry
about that.

Anyway, latest version is out. --Jeff Barnes XL-RG

Hello, gang. Do you remember PropDesign, the Windows port of Ed Dokus'
propeller design program? It allows one to enter a propeller type
(planform, airfoil, number of blades, etc.) and cruise conditions
(airspeed, altitude, etc.). It calculates propeller pitch, diameter,
chord, thrust and efficiency in both graphical and tabular form,
allowing an experimental aircraft designer to ask "what if?" without
having to carve/bolt on/fly each new design.

PropDesign is now "finished" and version 1.0 is available at its new
location: <http://www.nicon.org/nirr/PropDesign/PropDesign.htm>. If
you're using an earlier version, I would recommend downloading this new
one as a couple of minor (internal) problems have been fixed.

Regards,
