REFLECTOR: Props and performance

Anyone have any stories on how a prop has changed the performance of their
plane?  I am thinking about getting a new prop for my plane and am curious
what type of impact it would have.

I have a Performance three blade which would only turn 2400 static and 2550
level at sea level.  I would ideally like to see 2500 and 2800-2850.  With
my prop now, i can only expect to see about 145 kts.  How significant a
change could I expect.  I have a 200 HP Lyc.
