  In the 70's some home builders did it but to there dismay the foam
deteriorated due to the water from condensation.  The new foam is not effected
by water, gas or jet A.

I think both the fuel tank foam and all plane parachutes are just the
compliments our stall/spin resistant, high impact resistant, floating aircraft
need to complete the package.

It is very sad that JFK jr. didn't have some of these technologies working for
him.
