You just may have started a common sense revolution. Being broke, I can't
find a flaw in your logic. If I crash my plane while flying, I will probably
die anyway, so why insure? For the benefit of my heirs (none) and friends
(plenty)? It might provide some amusement in the here-after to watch them
scramble like dogs for the last scrap of my "estate".
