My exhaust is the stanless model which exits at the rear lower portion of the 
cowl
on my 173RGE. I have the three blade EMT prop. Now, after loging just under 
100 hours, I have no prop heating evidence. There is some heat staining on 
the bottom of the cowl behind each pipe. This staining is easily removed with 
ordinary wax.
