REFLECTOR: Aileron control torque bearing (add on)



I believe that the factory stated that going to the round head gives more
support then the flat head screw.  However, it was also mentioned, ( I
recall from the open house) that another additional solution is also needed.
The control stick( joystick) should be limited to the elevator movement by a
"stop" in the keel.  If you have full down elevator and your control stick
is not stopped then any additional force has to be absorbed somewhere.  The
weakest link is the torque bearing.  If you install the washer, then the
bracket becomes the week link.  If a stop is attached to the keel to stop
the aft movement of the the joystick, then there should be no pressure on
the torque tube bearing.
