  I have used the Adhesive Remover to remove adhesive from Lexan sanding
blocks for many years, without any sign of crazing or other damage. I've had
a chip of window plexi soaking in a jar of the stuff for six months without
any effect.  A canopy manufacturer recommended mineral spirits when I had to
clean the duct tape residue off of mine- it worked fine. Some things may
work well at the time but cause damage that will show up only much later-
I've been told that Windex will cause crazing over time, for example.  Paper
towels can scratch- use soft cloth like flannel with straight strokes- same
for cleaning and polishing.  -Bill
