I have insurance on my Grumman with AVEMCO and called them to shop a quote
for the Velocity I may eventually finish. Avemco nearly "stroked out" over
the  Subaru engine. Now that AOPA is back on firm financial ground ( I had
dropped them in the past) I went fishing there for the Grumman and the
Velocity. They wanted 5 hours of training in type (factory) but quoted
around $1500. That was only a mil of coverage and not smooth. I have about
1500 hours.
