Re: REFLECTOR: oil temp

After I modified the air intakes on the Franklin  Velocity I could cool the
cylinders on climbout at 94 degrees OAT.  The downdraft cooling plenum from
velocity works great.  By changing the airflow pattern ( which reducing the
area of the scoop), the cooling was increased.

I get enough cabin cooling with eyeball vents in the Velocity only on the
vents that pickup the air from the leading edge of the strake.  Air picked
up from the scoops on the side of the fuselage are useless.  I also have a
BD-4 and I found much too much turbulance on the side for any meaningful
ventilation.  How about a leading edge vent on the BD-4?  You could probably
use a Cessna Vent.
