What exactly is your application? VHF transmission? GPS? 

I have or can get RG142 B/U, RG-400/U, or TRF-58 all day long. What does
the manufaturer of your radio recommend?

I can get just about any coax or triax that you want if you tell me
exactly what you want (type). And, of course, you are willing to pay for
it. Some of this stuff quickly gets into the $2.50 - $3 a foot price.
