Bill:

for a start, get a Franklin 6A350C. It's got a magnetic plug in the sump.
But you're right, I look at it only every 25 hrs - when I change the oil.
Yet it is easy, there's a valve that doesn't let any oil escape. Maybe I
should look at it before any long legs in the future. (Still testing).
