Elevator trim

Brian;

Interesting idea.  First question is "Why?"; besides saving a lb or two.  Those who are flying may have some input on this.  Certainly it would change control forces; probably allow full deflection of elevator with much less force; or fear of breaking our spring.  But unless you are doing arobatics, force limiting the deflection is probably a good thing.  And then you would have to experiment to determine the size of trim airfoil needed.

Perhaps it could eliminate what seems a major builder variable of how to cut this fiberglass "U" to get the proper spring rate.
